FIFA 09 is probably only 6 months away and it’s time to take a look at suggestions and wishes for the new version FIFA 09.

Daniel Grundei from SportsGamer.com has written a great post about his wishes and suggestions for FIFA 09.

Personally I would like:

  • Better free-kicks
  • Improved player transfers
  • More stadiums
  • 11 vs 11 online play (it’s just a wish)

Will FIFA 09 Feature New Copy Protection?

You’ve probably heard about EA’s latest RPG “Mass Effect” for Xbox360, but did you know it’s coming out for PC very soon too?

Ok, but did you also know that you’ll need to activate the game in order to play it? Oh yes, Mass Effect (PC version) is using SecuROM, which requires online activation.

But it doesn’t stop here, 10 days after the first activation, SecuROM requires that it re-check the CD-key. If the key isn’t private, the game stops working. It does this every 10 calendar days. Read the rest of this entry »

Tips For FIFA 08 Volume 2

In this 2nd edition of my tips for helping you play and succeed in FIFA 08, we’ll take a look at some strategies you can use in manager mode to make money and improve your team. I’ll also show you why the Dutch national team is made up of fictitious players, and how you can fix it!

WAYS TO CREATE REVENUE IN MANAGER MODE

When playing in the ever-popular manager mode, creating revenue to buy players and keep the board happy can often be a problem. There are a few simple ways you can solve this problem.

One way is by selling your youth academy players if you have a surplus at one position, or using that youth player to fill a space created by someone you have sold. For example, a team like Hibernian has 3 goalkeepers: Yves Makabu-Makalambay, Andrew McNeil, and Zbigniew Malkowski. Makalambay is a capable starter with an overall rating of 65, and McNeil a decent backup with an overall rating of 59. If you see that you have a youth team goalkeeper coming through the academy, this means that you can sign him to your first team and sell Malkowski, who will sell for much more than the youth team keeper. Also, you won’t have to worry because a third team goalkeeper will likely not see much action anyway.

A Few Tips For FIFA 08

This is the first post by Andrew McCarten. I’ll let Andrew introduce himself, if he wants to.

In this article, I hope to provide you with some useful tips and strategies that I have come across during my time playing FIFA 2008. I hope you find the helpful and good look with the game!

CORNER KICKS

Corner kicks are a great opportunity to score in the game, and the easiest way to capitalize on them is by using in-swingers. For your left corner, have a right-footed player take it, and vice-versa for a right corner. For example, when playing with the Republic of Ireland, Aiden McGeady is best suited for left corner, while Damien Duff is best for a right corner. Fill the meter about 2/3 full while pressing the O button, and the ball will ideally find a player at the closer end of the 6 yard box.

Are You EA Sport’s Next Talent Scout?

easportsmedrgb.jpgDo you feel you know more about your team than your club’s Manager? Could you tell your mates how many games your centre back played last season and which foot he prefers to kick the ball with? Are you constantly keeping track of the transfers and youth prospects at your club?
Not only do you have to have a football brain, but you must have an interest in data editing. Experience with editing data for football video games will go a long way to ensuring you understand the data we need collected.

EA Is A Cool Company

I’m in no way affiliated with EA or EA Sports or any other computer company. I still find EA pretty cool. They are the only major video game developer company I know that has publicly defended a video game.

It’s not FIFA 08, but the RPG Mass Effect. Electronic Arts recently bought the franchise rights to it and has since been under fire from various medias.

EA wants to clarify the serious errors done by Fox News, including the error about full digital nudity and sex and the ability for players to engage in graphic sex.

Mass Effect is available for Xbox 360 only (or “SE” Xbox as the Fox Network calls it).
